Do You Need a Mini Mom Break? I know, I do!

Check Out Your Local Target to Make Your Mini Mom Breaks complete

By Sasha L., Macaroni Kid South Hill - Puyallup January 11, 2021

Let us be honest and say mornings are the hustle and bustle of getting the kids dressed, fed, and off to whatever activity they have going on while simultaneously cleaning up any leftover mess from the night before. Once the bustle has slowed down, taking the necessary time for myself with a cup of coffee that is still hot, and having a bite to eat would be deemed a real treat.

Time and time again I have let my mini mom breaks fall to the side because of this or that. NO MORE! This year, 2021, I have promised myself one thing, and that one thing is not to forget about myself. I need to make myself a priority; therefore, I can be a good wife, mother, friend, businesswoman, and overall a good person. If I don't put myself first with mini mom breaks, I will not run at full speed ahead. Instead, I am unable to properly juggle all of my necessary duties, and that is simply unacceptable to me. If you have ever felt like you need a mini mom break, then join me this year by putting yourself first. Check out the routine I have created to keep myself accountable. This routine may work for you too!

My Routine:

1- Set an alarm for a daily reminder to take my mini mom break.

2- Make sure to turn the coffee pot on first thing in the morning.

3- Complete morning tasks before my mom break such as making breakfast for the children, cleaning up the leftover mess in the kitchen, making sure the family dog is let out.

4- Once the alarm goes off at 8 am (or whenever your desired time is), grab a favorite mug and cozy slippers for extra fun.

5- Pour coffee, add favorite creamer.

6- Pair Light & Fit Greek Nonfat Yogurt, BELVITA Sandwich Dark Chocolate Creme Breakfast Biscuits, and fresh fruit for a wholesome breakfast.

Creating this routine has not only made me accountable, but it has encouraged my own family to take their mini-breaks throughout the day. I have fallen in love with my new routine and am mindful of how important it is to continue. This routine has allotted time for me to take a breath and collect my thoughts, or simply sit in silence, which is such a treat when you have three young kids running around!

If you are looking for suggestions, like I was, Target is where I started! Target has provided a convenient way to shop while saving money through its Target app. Check out Circle offers through the Target App for savings! I made sure to go to my local Target after making a list of items that would help make my mini mom break that much better. I wanted to take advantage of the time with tasty snacks that would make me feel relaxed yet invigorated.

My Shopping List:

1- Whole Bean Coffee, dark roast is my preference

2- International Delight Hazelnut Coffee Creamer, which is nutty with a rich and toasty taste

3- BELVITA Sandwich Dark Chocolate Creme Breakfast Biscuits, a smooth creamy dark chocolate flavored filling between two deliciously wholesome breakfast biscuits

4- Light & Fit Greek Nonfat Yogurt has 80 calories per 6 oz serving, 14g protein, and 0% fat

My favorite coffee mixed with International Delight Creamer, BELVITA Sandwich Dark Chocolate Creme Breakfast Biscuits, and Light & Fit Greek Nonfat Yogurt have made my mini mom breaks much more enjoyable and tasty! I hope that you enjoy your new routine and the mindful time for yourself. Don't forget to check out your local Target to make your mini mom breaks complete!
