Hello Macaroni Kid families!
It is time for a fun family-friendly scavenger hunt OUTSIDE! Family scavenger hunts are our thing! My children enjoy being able to customize each hunt to what their interests are! However, I try to guide them with a theme such as; a rainbow, numbers, alphabet, greek lettering, and so on. Scavenger hunts are a fun activity that can help with goal setting, imagination, critical thinking, and many more interest aspects. As a mom of three, I love that this game is perfectly played in the car, inside the home, or outside on a walk. Its versatility is a nice feature that allows for the imagination to run wild!
When we are creating a scavenger hunt, each child selects a few items that match an overall theme. By including the younger children in the process allows them to have a sense of ownership of the game. Once you are ready grab your clipboard, pencils, and enjoy the fun!
I encourage you to create your scavenger hunt, but for now, I have included one that my family did for rainbow colors! It was a bit tricky to find certain colors on our walk, but it was fun to see my little ones working together to complete the task. * Quick suggestion: After you have found an item on the list take a selfie with it, so you can create a selfie rainbow at the end!
