Did you know that Sumner is the Rhubarb Pie Capitol of the WORLD!?!
The Sumner - Puyallup Valley produces almost half of the rhubarb in america. However, this fact is mostly due to the way the city of Sumner has promoted its historical connection to rhubarb. It's biggest promotion of the vegetable (did you know it was a vegetable?) is Rhubarb Days in downtown Sumner on Main St and Heritage Park.
At Rhubarb days you can see a rhubarb bake off, square dancing, rhubarb racers & rockets, visit vendors, and even meet Rhubarb from the Tacoma Rainiers!
